Hanson wins playoff for Czech Open title

08/22/2010 - Celadna, Czech Republic (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Peter Hanson birdied the second playoff hole Sunday to defeat Peter Lawrie and Gary Boyd and win the Czech Open.

The victory was Hanson's fourth on the European Tour and his second this season. He captured the Iberdrola Open Mallorca earlier this year, also in a playoff.

Hanson, the third-round leader, struggled to a two-over 74 to join Lawrie (66) and Boyd (68) at 10-under 278.

Anthony Wall shot a five-under 67 and finished fourth at nine-under 279.

Julien Guerrier (69) and Simon Dyson (72) shared fifth at minus-eight.
